A reveller had his neck chain stolen by a thief in the street who then battered him when he tried to get it back.

The victim – in a red jumper and denim jeans – was stood in the doorway of a shop.

The blue hoodie and black coat-clad mugger and another man were seen talking to him.

But the thief grabs his chain from around his neck prompting the victim to try and push him away.

However, the crook yanks at it again and manages to swipe it.

One onlooker on a motorbike filmed the shocking moment on a GoPro helmet cam.

It happened outside Souvenirs London, on the corner of Great Windmill Street and Piccadilly Circus in the early hours of Sunday (12 May) morning.

The rider said: “Look, look, look, look, look.

“Brother, don’t fight.”

The mugger punches the victim in the side of the head.

In a desperate attempt to get his silver chain back he starts to tussle with the thief.

The fight spills off the pavement and into the road.

But the victim’s mobile phone also slips from his back trouser pocket and lands on a drain cover.

He is completely unaware he has dropped it.

The man on the motorbike gasped: “Ooh, ooh, ooh.”

The mugger repeatedly punched him again and swung the chain around in his hand.

Drivers could be heard revving their engines and beeping their horns as the brawl blocked the street.

The rider said: “F*cking hell mate, stopping fighting you idiots” as the 36 second video came to and end, as reported on Need To Know.

Paul Raymond said: “Piccadilly Circus for f*cks sake.

“Anyone seen plod?
