A woman has proudly unveiled her impressive 12-foot hairpiece after securing the Guinness World Record for the world’s widest wig.
Helen Williams is the mastermind behind this extraordinary hairpiece, which spans 11 feet 11 inches (3.65 meters) in width and gracefully trails to the floor.
The 31-year-old embarked on this ambitious project in February, completing it in just over a month.

To give some perspective, the wig’s length rivals that of a Mini Cooper, which measures 11 feet 10 inches (3.63 meters), according to Need To Know.
Helen, hailing from Nigeria and known for crafting the world’s longest wig, used 800 bundles of auburn hair for this creation, investing 4,138,200 Naira (£2,150) in materials.
While she utilized a sewing machine for certain sections, the majority of the work was done by hand, meticulously stitching it together with a needle and thread on a supportive framework.
Upon completion, Helen embellished the top of the wig with over 1,000 sparkling rhinestones.
Her inspiration came from seeing actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore, who once donned a record-breaking wide wig on television.
Despite her enthusiasm, Helen encountered several challenges, including back, neck, and thigh pain from the extensive sitting and bending required. Additionally, the wig’s weight posed a significant challenge when she tried it on.
Now, the impressive hairpiece is displayed in Helen’s office, where she intends to keep it.
The professional wig maker also holds the record for the most hair clips placed in a wig in 30 seconds, with a total of 90 clips.
Reflecting on her achievements, Helen said, “I am very proud of myself. I now hold three records.”
