A North Carolina resident claims to have stumbled upon a UFO featuring heavy-duty metal and some peculiar bits of fur.
Justin Clontz, who works at Glamping Collective, a luxury campsite in Haywood County, described his discovery as a “once in a lifetime” event while on the job.
The popular holiday destination seemingly became the landing site for a massive unidentified flying object, a rarity according to Justin.

The unusual encounter left Justin feeling “shocked” as he tried to comprehend what he had found, expressing his disbelief over the find.
“This kind of thing happens once in a lifetime, you know. It’s not something you see every day,” he remarked.
The discovery took place when Justin and a coworker noticed a large object on a secluded trail near Canton.
Photos reveal a charred carbon fiber shell with sturdy metal plates bolted together, sporadically covered with bits of fur around the edges.
Due to its weight, Justin had to drag the object away with the help of a lawnmower, a unique removal method he shared with WLOS: “I just tied a rope to it and dragged it out with a lawnmower.
It’s a one in a million chance that it lands, especially if it landed somewhere off the trail in the woods you’d have never found it, but it just happened to land on the trail.”
He also noted the object’s precise landing between trees without causing a fire, stating it landed silently in the dense woods. Justin pointed out that once you’re deep into that trail, you don’t hear much from the surrounding forest.
Since the discovery, Justin has been seeking aerospace experts to help identify the UFO’s origins, though he has yet to receive any definitive answers.
This isn’t the only potential UFO sighting this year. In Japan, residents of Tottori Prefecture observed floating lights in the sky, reminiscent of a scene from a dystopian film.
On May 11, nine mysterious pillars of light were spotted above Mikaya Port in Daisen Town, Tottori, as shared on X by user Maashii. The lights were floating north of the town above the Sea of Japan, with the tweet garnering over 12.1 million views and capturing the interest of many X users.
