A cat has been rescued from a utility pole after being trapped for several days.
The hapless feline was stranded about 50 feet from the ground.
An Animal Services official arrived at the scene, but she didn’t have a ladder that could reach the moggy’s lofty position.

As a result, Officer Johnston called the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for help.
A spokesperson for Kern County Animal Services (KCAS) said: “Thank goodness this was a calm and friendly cat!”
A PG&E engineer arrived at the scene in Bakersfield in California, US, to safely bring the cat back down to terra firma.
KCAS said: “Huge props to Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
“Officer Johnston named this feline Electra.”
They added that the female cat has a tipped ear, meaning she has already been spayed.
KCAS placed “sweet” Electra up for adoption on 25 May.
They told interested parties to adopt her from the Kern County Animal Shelter on Fruitvale Avenue in Bakersfield, as reported by Need To Know.
One local commented: “This happened to my cat once and the PG&E guy just used a pole to knock her down! Luckily she was okay.”
Alisa said: “Electricians often save the day – no fear of heights.”
Kay wrote: “Wow! She just used up one of her lives.”
Darrian remarked: “Days?! Poor thing, I’m glad she was rescued.”
