An Ikea £80 wicker dog bed has been slammed by pet owners who say pooches will rip it apart in “minutes.”
The Swedish furniture chain has launched their highly-anticipated pet range.
But shoppers were left furious at the handwoven wicker pet bed.

However, customers will need to purchase the inner cushion separately for £20.

The dog accessory called UTSÅDD – which translates as Sowed – measures 80 x 50 x 20 cm.
The product description reads: “In this bed there is plenty of room for small and medium-sized dogs to relax.
“The short feet raise the bed off the ground so air can circulate underneath while still making it easy for dogs to jump in and out.

“Complete with a soft cushion or blanket for better comfort, sold separately.
“The dog bed stands firmly in place since it has small feet with an anti-slip surface.
“Skilled craftspeople have woven the product by hand, so each one is one of a kind.”
Ikea shoppers were quick to claim the material isn’t the most pet friendly, as reported by Need To Know.
Others were angry that they will need to fork out an additional £20 for a cushion, taking the total amount to £100.
One angry customer said: “That’s ridiculously expensive and will be shredded in five minutes by any dog with teeth.”

Another person said: “Sorry I love you Ikea, but 80 quid just for the basket and not a cushion is a bit of a joke.”
Another shopper said: £80.
”I bought a wicker one from IKEA for my Labrador puppy years ago, he absolutely destroyed it in the first week.”
”Wicker is the absolute worst material for a puppy bed,” fumed another customer.
”£80 for a dog bed that my puppy will disassemble in less than eight minutes, I think not,” said another customer.

Yet Sabine said: “It’s just perfect, great workmanship, beautifully crafted.”
Other items up for sale in the new range include £3 pet food bowls and a £13 tipi for cats.

Ikea has been approached for comment.
