She washed it down with a martini.
Nigella tucked into the dish at J.Sheekey in Covent Garden, central London – where a dish of oysters cost up to £72.
She had been to watch a Long Day’s Journey into Night – starring Succession star Brian Cox – at the Wyndham’s Theatre.
She said: “And after having my soul bled dry at Long Day’s Journey into Night.
“I coaxed myself back into the world with the perfect post-theatre dinner at J.Sheekey.
“Oysters, chips and a martini.”
Nigella is renowned for her unconventional food combinations, as reported by Need To Know.
She has previously put caramel on potatoes and marmite on spaghetti.
Last month she timed to bring back classic 70s pudding Pineapple Upside-Down Cake.
In 2020, she was ridiculed for calling a ‘microwave’ a ‘mee-cro-wah-vay’.
