UK weather forecasts have identified the exact dates for the first 28°C day of the year, with temperatures expected to soar starting June 13.
The heatwave will peak on June 14, with East Anglia, the Midlands, and Wales experiencing the warmest conditions, and London expected to reach 28°C.
Large areas of East England, including Norfolk, Sussex, and Essex, will enjoy mid-twenties temperatures, while even the North East and North West will see the mercury rise above 20°C as summer heat intensifies.

The heatwave is forecasted to begin around 3 pm on June 13, continuing through the week, as per maps from Netweather TV and WX Charts, which use Met Desk data.
The BBC has indicated a “warmer trend” from June 1 to June 16, suggesting variable conditions in the third week of June due to possible low-pressure areas around the UK. However, high pressure from the Azores High could temporarily spread across southern UK, bringing warmer, calmer, and drier weather. A stronger high-pressure system over Scandinavia might lead to a drier, warmer easterly or south-easterly flow, particularly in northern and eastern UK, with wetter conditions further west and south.
From June 17 to June 30, forecasts suggest drier weather, especially in eastern and southern UK, due to high pressure from the Azores or Scandinavia. This would result in warmer than average temperatures. By the end of June, high pressure is expected to establish over or near the UK, maintaining higher temperatures and dry conditions across most regions. However, Scotland may experience wetter and windier weather.
As the UK prepares for this summer heatwave, these predictions highlight the likelihood of a prolonged period of warm weather, especially in southern England and Wales.
