A swimmer has narrowly escaped death after a crocodile attacked him in a murky lagoon.
A clip shows onlookers shouting to get the man’s attention as a reptile’s head slowly pokes above the surface.
As he swims to the bank, the croc makes a beeline for him, seemingly locking his jaws around his shorts and pulling him backwards, as reported by Need To Know.

The man eventually breaks free, clambering to safety with rips in his shorts.
He collapses onto the pavement face first, breathing deeply for a couple of seconds before getting to his feet.
Clenching his fists with distress, relief and adrenaline, he later shows off a bite mark on his leg.
The person holding the camera says he can see “seven crocodiles” in the immediate area of the lagoon.
The near miss was filmed at the Lagoon of Illusions in Villahermosa, Tabasco State, Mexico, on 16 June.
One local commented: “That wound looks infected, I hope someone helps him.”
Abraham said: “Get him medical attention. If that wound is infected, they will have to cut off his limb.”
Max wrote: “You have to treat him quickly because crocodiles have a lot of dead bacteria in their teeth and if they don’t treat him quickly he can lose his leg.”
