An influencer has told how cheap teeth whitening left her in the “worst pain of her life”.
Marina Yers was on holiday in Thailand when she took advantage of the low prices available to get a gleaming grin.
But the 24-year-old quickly came to regret it.

In a teary video shared with her 1.2m Instagram followers, she reveals the horrors that followed – with her teeth “burning” from the excruciating pain.
Marina paid £126 for the procedure, which included a teeth cleaning, at a clinic in a shopping centre.
She said: “It was strange because even during the cleaning, which usually doesn’t hurt your teeth, mine started to ache a bit.”
The dentist warned Marina that her mouth was very sensitive and advised her to stop the treatment, as reported on Need To Know.
However, Marina chose to soldier on.
It was during the laser whitening that the influencer “almost passed out”.
With just 10 minutes to go, the Ukrainian – who has lived in Spain since she was seven years old – asked for the treatment to be stopped as she squirmed in the dental chair.
She said: “My teeth were burning.
“I was crying, covering my mouth, feeling intense pain in each of my teeth.
“I had never been through anything like that before.”
After leaving the clinic, Marina had to buy several medicines including numbing gel to lessen the pain.
She said: “I wish I had never gone to that damn dentist.
“It’s not worth the pain it’s causing me.”
Marina also told local media: “You get what you pay for.
“It was the worst teeth whitening of my life.
“I’ve never experienced such pain in my mouth.
“My gums felt like they were burning, my mouth was red and I kept getting shocks in my teeth.
“It was really tough.”
Experts warn that teeth whitening can cause sensitivity, especially if you already have sensitive teeth.
It is usually temporary and goes away on its own.
However, in some cases, it can be severe and last for days or even weeks.
