The 35-year-old social media star and nurse had been battling cancer for over a year and a half.
After her tumour was detected in December 2022, she underwent surgery and began chemotherapy.

But a few weeks ago, she announced she was going to take a break from chemo in a bid to regain strength.
Sonia worked at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra and was mum to Joel, five, and three-year-old Nora.
She met their father on a Médecins Sans Frontières mission in Guinea-Bissau and it was reportedly love at first sight.

Following her diagnosis, she told local media: “We believe that if we make it through this, we will be the happiest people in the universe.”
Sonia, of Pamplona, south east of Bilbao, Spain – had 178,000 followers on Instagram, where she went by the name “mamaderizos”.
She used social media to share parenting stories and funny experiences from her daily life, as well as her cancer journey.
Mamadu also uses Instagram, where he goes by the name “papaderizos” and has 16,800 followers.
Sonia had been posting less content recently because she was feeling weak, as reported on Need To Know.

Nonetheless, her passing has left her followers in shock.
María wrote: “Rest in peace, Sonia. You fought with all your strength to stay. You didn’t deserve this ending.

“I’m so sorry, Du, a hug for you and the kids and the rest of the family. We will miss her dearly. Her enthusiasm, her videos, her smile, her strength and courage.
“A kiss to heaven, Sonia. Watch over them from up above.”
