Pierpaolo was killed instantly.
The emergency services arrived on the scene, but there was nothing they could do.
His 20-year-old colleague witnessed everything and fainted from shock.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The horror unfolded on a field in Brembio, southeast of Milan, Italy, less than a mile from Pierpaolo’s home, as reported on Need To Know.
It’s believed the accident happened so quickly that he wouldn’t have had time to process it.
Pierpaolo entered the workforce 10 months ago after studying agriculture.
He was passionate about the land and was mad about tractors.
His devastated aunt Gigliola told local media: “He had the fortune, which few have, to love his job.”
Brembio’s Mayor, Oriana Ghidotti described him as a “hard worker”.
Pierpaolo is also survived by his parents, his sister, and his grandfather.
His funeral will be held in his mother, Monica’s hometown of Borghetto Lodigiano, tomorrow (22 Jun).
The Lodi Prosecutor’s Office has seized the seed drill for investigations.
Documents related to Pierpaolo’s employment and training have also been collected in a bid to clarify what happened.
There are currently no suspects.
