He puts his other hand on Vieira’s shoulder and fires four shots into the back of his head at point-blank range.
The 25-year-old immediately slumps forward as his girlfriend recoils in terror in the early hours of Tuesday (2 Jul).
The man at the next table runs for cover as the gunman darts back out of the door in Porto Velho, Brazil.
Local media say the killer fled the scene on a bicycle and was not caught by the police.
Vieira’s girlfriend was reportedly shot in the leg as the horror unfolded, as reported on Need To Know.
An ambulance arrived on the scene and took her to hospital.
Paramedics pronounced Vieira dead.
They reportedly found a pistol in his waistband and two loaded magazines in the pockets of his shots.
Vieira had several entries on his criminal record.
According to police records, he was affiliated with the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC).
The PCC is believed to be Latin America’s biggest gang and one of the world’s largest crime groups.
