The accident happened on the SS7ter road between Fragagnano and Monteparano, Italy.
Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to the scene after other road users raised the alarm.
The cause of the crash, which happened on 1 July, is unknown but is under investigation, as reported on Need To Know.

Cellamare was an electrician and an amateur footballer who played for Ceglie.
Before that, he had plied his trade at Ginosa, Grottaglie, Otranto, Avetrana, Fasano, Talsano, and Massafra.
Shortly after his passing, his last club said: “An exemplary footballer, a wonderful young man, who could bring joy to everyone.
“Always reliable and present, he was a key player in the 2021/2022 championship victory and in two other top-level seasons.
“Morris was part of our family and today, with him, a piece of each of us has gone.
“Today, ASD Calcio Ceglie and all of Puglian soccer lose not just a player, but a man who always showed dedication and respect for our colours.

“Always happy and joking, today Morris played the cruellest joke of all, leaving us with a feeling of emptiness that has touched each of us.
“The name of Morris Cellamare will forever be etched in the history of Calcio Ceglie.
“Thank you for everything you gave us, phenomenon.”
Cellamare’s send-off was held at a church in his hometown of Taranto on the same day of the accident (1 July).
He is survived by his girlfriend, Valentina.
His social media posts suggest he also leaves behind a young son and a younger brother.
