Judges decided to keep her in custody at a hearing the next day (6 Aug).
Godoi, 25, hails from Pouso Alegre, Brazil, but was arrested in São Paulo – a three-to-four-hour drive away.

She is accused of theft, extortion by means of kidnapping, torture, and criminal conspiracy.
Local media say she’s nicknamed “Gatinha do Crime”, which roughly translates to “Crime Cutie”.

She boasts tens of thousands of followers on social media, where she shares moments from her daily life with her young son.
The police say Godoi lured her victims into phoney romantic encounters through dating apps and social media.

When they went to meet her, they would be taken captive by her accomplices.
The gang typically sought out middle-aged, successful men, as reported by NeedToKnow.
Some allege that they were tortured into giving up their banking passwords.
Godoi and her accomplices spent their victims’ money on travel, fine dining, and designer clothes.
