Thousands of fans were brought to a standstill after watching Taylor Swift perform last night (15 August).

Swiftie Jack Proverbs was in the crowd after an “incredible” night watching the US pop superstar.

But the 23-year-old said he had a long wait ahead of him as the moment he stepped outside of Wembley Stadium, he joined crowds of thousands waiting for transport home.

It took around an hour and a half for him and his friends to get back to central London.

Departing the stadium at around 10:15pm, they didn’t make it back to their Airbnb until midnight.

“The worst part was getting from Wembley to the Tube stop. Once we were inside there it wasn’t too bad,” Jack from Nottinghamshire, told Need To Know.

“We had to rush through the side of the queue and get over to the right.

“Luckily there was a traffic style system where guards held up ‘Go’ and ‘Stop’ signs.

“For the people right at the back it likely would’ve taken them two if not three hours to go through to the front!”

Jack feels that it would be useful for more Tubes to run on nights where there are big events taking place in the city.

He said: “Having so many cramped on minimal Tubes is extremely unsafe, especially when it comes to disabled passengers of which must’ve found it extremely difficult to get through to the Tube station.”

Despite the long journey back to his accommodation, Jack had the most incredible night.

He added: “I fully recommend anyone to go and see the Eras tour if possible as it’s a once in a lifetime experience.”

After performing at Wembley across three nights in June, Taylor Swift kicked off the second leg of her London shows last night.

She is set to perform again tonight (16 August) and on the 17 and 19 August, before her final night on 20 August.

In shows that sold out long ago, 90,000 fans are expected to gather for an unforgettable night of singing and dancing.

After Jack shared a video showing the huge rush to exit online, viewers took to the comments.

Rebecca wrote: “Am going by myself on Saturday this will be fun.”

Emma said: “Why did it take me two hours to get a train.”

“I was there tonight! Left at 10:15 – was on the train by 11:10! Quicker than I thought and I felt that it was organised and I felt so safe too,” commented Fleur.

Glenn penned: “We left at the end of Karma and got straight on a train at Wembley Stadium station, I never see it mentioned but it’s the easiest option.”

Maddie added: “I stayed for the whole show and was walking up the stairs 20 mins after she finished, it’s really not as bad as it looks.”
