An everyday hero was filmed carrying a dolphin to safety after it found itself on dry land during a drought.
The heartwarming clip shows the Good Samaritan walking briskly across the sand, holding the heavy mammal in his arms.
His pal films as he lowers the dolphin into the water from the riverbank, bidding it “goodbye” as it swims away.

The creature had become trapped on dry land after the Madeira River in Amazonas State, Brazil, partially dried up.
Luckily, the local men spotted the stricken mammal in the nick of time.
About 111,000 people are currently affected by the devastating drought in Amazonas.
Some 20 municipalities have declared a state of emergency, as reported by Need To Know.
Some reports suggest the dolphin in question belongs to the genus Sotalia.
Its two member species are the Guiana dolphin (Sotalia guianensis) and the tucuxi (Sotalia fluviatilis).
According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature, the former is near threatened and the latter is endangered.
However, it’s also possible it’s actually an Amazon river dolphin (Inia geoffrensis), which is also an endangered species.
