A young girl, approximately eight years old, was stabbed in Christchurch, Dorset, on Tuesday evening.
The victim was taken to hospital, and her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The incident occurred at a residence on Glider Close around 5:45 pm.

A man in his 20s from Christchurch has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, while a local woman in her 50s was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Police have increased their presence in the area as they conduct investigations.
Chief Superintendent Stewart Dipple urged witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and reassured the public that neighborhood patrols will be ongoing.
