A brave police officer captured an alligator with his bare hands.
Lieutenant Bill Henry was called out to a house where the fierce gator was on the porch and intent on staying put.
He brought along a pole for assistance, but in the end the determined cop caught the small but mighty beast with no tools other than his bare hands.
The family living there in Fulshear, near Houston, Texas, US, were obviously delighted.
Body cam footage shows the officer’s bold encounter, as reported by Need To Know.
A Fulshear Police spokesperson quipped: “We have a message for Lieutenant Bill Henry after watching his body cam video.
“You can take the boy out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the boy.”
Local Kristy said: “He deserves a raise.
My officers would have asked for backup.”
Heather joked: “Maybe this should be one of the tasks to graduate from the academy now.
Karina added: “Oh my God.
“Poor policeman.
“You are definitely a hero, doing so much for the community and keeping everyone safe.
“God bless.”
Kirt said: “That was epic.”
“That’s more guts than good sense,” added Bev.
“Guts and glory.”
