An unsuspecting woman was floored by a would-be mugger as he tried to snatch her handbag in broad daylight.
The shocking CCTV shows the victim and her acquaintance walking leisurely down the busy street yesterday (5 Sep) morning.
As they stopped to look at something, a man spotted them and looked over his shoulder as he crossed the road.

He grabbed the strap of the handbag slung over the woman’s shoulder.
He yanked the bag but ended up flooring the woman, who was left lying on the pavement as he ran away empty-handed.
A man chased after him as her acquaintance and another man walked over to the woman to check she was all right.
As they help her to her feet, a young man in a hoodie walks over and picks up an item that had flown out of the woman’s bag.
He runs away with it as a woman chases after him.
The drama happened in broad daylight at Carrer de l’Hospital in Barcelona, Spain.
The street is well-trodden by tourists, as it’s home to the Antic Hospital de la Santa Creu and leads to La Rambla in the Spanish city’s downtown.
The Raval area is infamous for its drug crime, homelessness, prostitution, robberies, and frequent fights.
Immigrants make up more than half of its population, as reported by Need To Know.
Locals say one of the suspects involved has been arrested. However, official sources hadn’t confirmed this at the time of reporting.
