But bars of chocolate were seen tumbling out of it onto the pavement.
A third Tesco employee then began picking them up off the ground.
One of the male supermarket staff indicated that there were security cameras outside.
An onlooker, who filmed it on his mobile phone, said: “It’s going off.”
He then laughed as one of the supermarket employees lobbed the black bag down the road.
He added: “Ah s*it.
“Insanity.”
The 48-second video, filmed outside the Tesco store, in South Wharf Street, Paddington, central London, then came to an end.
It happened on Sunday (8 Sept) afternoon, as reported by Need To Know.
Local, Melvin Peters said: “Fair play to the workers.”
Calvin McDonald added: “Respect the workers a lot for this.
“They don’t get paid enough to deal with some of the c*ap they have to put up with.
“They also let matey boy go with a stern warning not to come back.”
Tassos Amprazis said: “The Tesco employee needs a pay rise.
“He is a hero.”
Another local added: “That’s an everyday story.
“The amount of abuse these poor workers go through and don’t even get appreciated.”
The Met Police and Tesco have been approached for comment.
