A man is suspected of killing his wife before allegedly being beaten to death by her father.
Ronivon Alves Coutinho went to his in-law’s farm to talk to his estranged spouse as they were in the process of separating.
The pair were left alone in the kitchen as he initially “seemed calm”, according to the victim’s mother.

However, Ronivon, 46, allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Aline Moreira Niza Coutinho, 33, dead.
He then reportedly tried to kill his brother-in-law’s daughter, nine, and her friend while they were playing in a bedroom on Saturday (14 Sept).
The two young girls managed to escape through a window before fleeing the farm in Varzelândia, located east of the Brazilian capital Brasilia.
A caretaker on the estate went to investigate after hearing the gunshots and became Ronivon’s second victim, according to the authorities.
He was identified as Valter Marques Lobato, 45.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Gilson Mendes said: “The caretaker heard the shots and went to the scene.
“When he realised what was happening, he tried to intervene to help the children who were frantically running away as the perpetrator was chasing them.
“In that moment, the caretaker was shot in the stomach and died.”
The girl and her friend managed to reach her father’s nearby home.
Ronivon then went back to the house to confront his wife’s parents.
The trio became embroiled in a fight and Aline’s father Romes Moreira Niza, 51, allegedly beat him to death with a piece of wood.
During the struggle, Ronivon managed to fire a bullet at the dad, grazing his head in the process.
Bleeding and dazed, Romes fled into nearby woodland and did not return to the house.
The police found him wandering around the woods and took him to hospital for treatment to the head wound.
Officers also seized the suspected murder weapon at the crime scene, as reported by Need To Know.
The father left a statement with the police and was later released from custody with restrictions.
The investigation into the alleged shooting is ongoing.
