And she says taking it back to the basics has been transformative.
“I discovered the carnivore diet on Instagram and wanted to give it a try,” Angela told Need To Know.

“I was dealing with a horrible eating disorder, hormonal problems, menstrual issues, hair loss and skin issues.
“I healed myself.
“Usually, I eat beef entrecôte steak or ground beef, eggs, raw milk and butter.

“I also have lamb organs, such as liver, heart and testicles, and fermented cucumber.”
Angela, who is from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, first started the diet in the spring of 2023.
She said: “I started the carnivore diet with berries, fruits and dairy products.
“Therefore, my transition was smooth.

“I did not, and have not, experienced fatigue or digestive issues.
“I also love eggs, beef liver, cod liver, raw butter and raw milk.
“The priority is organic and clean ingredients.
“It is for my future and health.”
Angela says her family and friends have been understanding to her new lifestyle.
She said: “They know that I am extreme.
“They accept my choices.

“Thanks to me, my little sister also became a carnivore.
“At the moment, I am very satisfied with my diet and can’t see myself ever eating cabbage.
“However, I can see myself eating fruits and berries, for example.
“Food is fuel for me.
“With the carnivore diet, I healed myself.”
WHAT THE DOCTOR SAYS:
Dr Gareth Nye, a senior lecturer of human physiology with expertise in human physiology and pathophysiology, has shared his opinion on the controversial diet.

He said: “Although there are some reported benefits to the carnivore diet, it ultimately is a highly restrictive diet which can come with some serious health concerns in the long term.
“Protein does work with the body to help you feel full without the sluggish feeling, often associated with carbohydrates.
“The issue however is there are very few well-rounded and supported medical literature around these diets and most of the effectiveness is largely anecdotal.
“What we do know is the higher intake of meats lead to increased risk of heart disease and metabolic ketoacidosis due to the increased level of cholesterol circulating in the body.
“You are also at greater risk for atherosclerosis and strokes.
“You will additionally be lacking a number of important minerals and vitamins particularly vitamin A and C and you will likely suffer from digestive issues due to the lack of fibre increasing your risk of colon and stomach cancer.
“There are certainly more rounded approaches to diet and lifestyle which will have similar outcomes but will do so in a more rounded and consistent way, most extreme dieters give up their plan sooner than those who have a rounded diet and exercise regime.”
In a recent video shared to social media, Angela recorded a number of items in her fridge.
She can be seen showing pack of raw, grass-fed ground beef, raw milk, beef tallow and raw butter.
