Two sisters devised a plan to publicly shame their father’s mistress by posting intimate images of her online, but the scheme ultimately backfired, resulting in legal trouble.

The sisters, Eleanor and Sophie Brown, sought revenge on the woman their father, Geoff Brown, had an affair with a decade ago.

Geoff, 61, had engaged in a relationship with the woman, who was also married, sparking long-standing resentment from his daughters.

Eleanor, 24, and Sophie conspired to humiliate the woman by sharing explicit photos of her on an escort website.

Originally planning to post the images on Gumtree, advertising sexual services for a mere £5, they instead opted for the escort site.

Alongside the photos, they listed the phone number of the woman’s husband, leading to him receiving numerous calls from strangers.

This vengeful plot unraveled when Eleanor admitted to disclosing private images without consent during a trial at Leeds Crown Court.

She now faces a likely prison sentence. Sophie, on the other hand, was banned from ever returning to the police force after resigning from her position as a West Yorkshire patrol officer earlier this year.

In April, a misconduct hearing confirmed she would have been dismissed had she not resigned.

The affair itself came to light back in 2015, when Geoff’s wife, Sarah, discovered explicit pictures and videos exchanged between her husband and the other woman.

Despite the betrayal, Geoff and Sarah remain together.

The revenge plot escalated between August and September 2022, when Eleanor posted disparaging remarks about the woman on her husband’s business website and sent the explicit images to him via WhatsApp.

Prosecutors described the sisters’ actions as a calculated attempt to cause distress. The victim testified that discovering her private photos online left her feeling “sickened” and panicked.

Although Eleanor initially denied the charges, she eventually admitted guilt shortly before the case was set to proceed.

Judge Alexander Menary has delayed sentencing until next month, warning that a prison term is highly likely.

Sophie played an instrumental role in the plot, encouraging her sister to post the images in what was described as an “act of revenge.”

The sisters had discussed their options through messages, at first intending to use Gumtree but later shifting to the escort site.

Sophie’s resignation from the police force came after the allegations surfaced, with the misconduct panel concluding that she would have been fired had she not left voluntarily.

Despite the turmoil, Geoff and Sarah’s marriage has survived the affair, with the couple recently pictured together during a trip to India.

The fallout from the sisters’ misguided revenge plot, however, continues to unfold, with Eleanor’s sentencing looming and Sophie’s policing career permanently over.
