A holidaymaker was left terrified when a thug smashed his way through her window and threw a glass bottle at her while she was sleeping.
Sabrina Sarmoria had just arrived at her £62-a-night (€75) apartment in Costa Adeje, Tenerife for the start of a week-long break.
The 25-year-old said she was kept awake by shouting and arguing until the police arrived outside at 2am.

At 4am, she was woken up to a man smashing his way through her window and door and launching a glass bottle at her.
Shocking CCTV shows the man knocking on her door before using the bottle to break through the window and Sabrina can be heard screaming inside.
Sabrina said the bottle landed at the foot of the bed and glass shattered all over the floor.
The man left and luckily Sabrina was unharmed after the attack on Monday (23 Sept).
Terrified he would return, Sabrina packed up her belongings and sat in a communal area until it got light.
“I got to the apartment late, put my stuff down and went to bed,” Sabrina, of Leeds, West Yorks, told Need to Know.
“There was arguing and shouting all night. The police eventually turned up and it went quiet.
“I had a gut instinct something was going to happen so I’d looked up the number for the police and was sleeping with my phone in my hand.
“I got maybe 20 minutes of sleep and I heard a knock on the door. It scared me to death.
“The guy smashed through the window first then the door then he threw the bottle at me and I screamed.
“I could see the shadow of the guy with the bottle in his hand but it was too dark to see his face.
“It was terrifying. I didn’t know what was going to happen. I thought the worst.
“I thought he was going to come in and I didn’t know what he was going to do.
“The bottle landed at the foot of the bed and glass shattered both sides. There was glass in bed with me.”
Sabrina says she called the police who arrived 20 minutes later and took some photos and a statement.
She forked out £183 (€220) for a two night stay at another apartment in Playa de las Americas but it left her “paranoid” and she decided to fly home.
Sabrina says she contacted Booking.com who she booked with and they issued a full refund.
Sabrina said: “It was 24 hours of hell. I slept with the light on. I was really jumpy and paranoid and that’s not like me.
“I feel safe now I’m home.”
Sabrina shared a video showing glass scattered on the floor which has racked up more than 568 views and 6,900 likes.
Cruel trolls have blamed Sabrina for the incident saying that she shouldn’t be travelling solo and accusing her of provoking the man.
Sabrina added: “People have been blaming me saying I shouldn’t have been travelling alone.
“They said I shouldn’t have booked a first floor apartment but it was on the second floor.
“Someone said I must have been causing trouble but that isn’t possible as I’d literally just arrived. I hadn’t met anyone.
“That’s the internet for you.”
One said: “You must have p*ssed off someone.”
Another added: “Don’t go to these places.”
A third person said: “Always stay in a hotel when travelling alone.”
A spokesperson from Booking.com said: “We take safety and security very seriously and this is clearly not the experience we would want for anyone when staying in an accommodation bookable on our platform, we are investigating further.
“While we can confirm that we have not received any previous complaints about this property, we can confirm that the customer has received a full refund.
“We are also in touch with the host to ensure their property is fit and safe to welcome guests.”
