A poor cat was found abandoned alongside a heartfelt note asking for it to be cared for with “kindness.”
The male tabby was dumped in a cat carrier.

The heartfelt message read: “Please keep him. Bless you for your kindness.”
The moggy was found in Harlesden, north west London, on Thursday (Sept 26), as reported on Need To Know.

Jade Guthrie, RSPCA Animal Rescue Officer, said: “This very friendly cat was found abandoned in a cat carrier with a heartbreaking note asking for a member of the public to please keep him.
“We understand that people’s circumstances can change and especially during a cost of living crisis.
“Times can be tough which may mean people can no longer afford to keep their pets especially if they need costly vet treatment.
“We appreciate that this person left their cat with the intention that someone else would keep him, however, we would urge any owners who are struggling to please never abandon their pets and instead reach out for help from friends or family, or charities, who can support them.”

The friendly natured moggy has been renamed Severus and is being cared for at RSPCA’s Finsbury Park Animal Hospital.
He is receiving pain relief and awaiting x-rays and further tests to investigate the injuries to his pelvis.

Mrs Guthrie added: “We’d advise anyone who finds an abandoned cat to please take them to a vet.
“As this is often the quickest way to get them the help they need and allows our officers to investigate urgent calls relating to neglected and abused animals.”
