An aneurysm is a bulge in a blood vessel caused by a weakness in the blood vessel wall.
A ruptured brain aneurysm is considered a medical emergency.
Brain aneurysms are more common in people over 40, but they can develop in anyone at any age.
Experts recommend controlling high blood pressure and giving up smoking to reduce the risk of developing one.
