Stranded thrill-seekers were forced to flee a broken-down rollercoaster on a precarious walkway running alongside the ride’s track.

The heart-stopping footage shows over 20 passengers, including small children, carefully walking along the narrow path at a great height.

The cameraperson says everyone is feeling “nervous” during “this unique experience.”

Meanwhile, the ride train is seen stationary at the top of the rollercoaster.

Some park visitors reportedly suffered a panic attack due to the height.

The ride stopped working after a power outage at the Parque del Café amusement park in Montenegro, Colombia, on Sunday (20 Oct)

A park spokesperson said the ride does have a backup power system, but they decided against using it on this occasion.

As the initial part of the ride is uphill, they decided it was safer to keep the ride without power to prevent the cars from moving backwards.

They also stated that they regularly check their rides and have never faced a serious emergency in over 20 years of operation.

The spokesperson confirmed that no one was injured.

However, a thrillseeker suffered a different fate on the same day in Mexico.

The victim, named as Andrés, died after being thrown from a ride at the Iztapalapa Fair in the capital Mexico City on Sunday.

He fell from the ride, called ‘Crazy Cups’, due to the speed it was operating at, according to local reports.

Andrés was thrown to the ground and suffered serious injuries.

It’s unclear if he was properly secured in the car when the ride started.

The victim was taken to the Santa Rosa Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival, as reported by Need To Know.

Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City has confirmed that they are investigating the young man’s death.
