The biker, identified as local resident Sudhakar, was killed in the explosion while six others were injured, two critically.
The CCTV footage shows the group of locals gathered on the corner of the street.
The victim rides along the road with a pal on the back.
As the scooter passes the group, a huge explosion fills the side street with flames and thick smoke.
Two men run through the smoke to safety, one of them holding his ears in pain.
Their clothes appear to be ripped and burned from the flames.
The explosion took place in Eluru City in Andhra Pradesh State, India, last week.
According to reports, Sudhakar had just picked up a box of firecrackers for a Diwali celebration when tragedy struck.
He was allegedly in possession of a potent firecracker known as an ‘onion bomb’ due to their shape.
These fireworks are banned or restricted in many parts of India due to their explosive intensity, as reported by Need To Know.
They are said to have the same ferocity as an improvised explosive device (IED).
Six people were sent to hospital after the blast.
Two of them are said to be hospitalised in a critical condition.
There have been no further updates on their current condition as the police investigation continues.
