Two men entered the bakery and shouted, “This is a robbery, everyone on the floor.”
However, one customer noticed that one of the gunmen was using a toy firearm and bravely stepped in.
CCTV footage shows the customer sitting alone at a table before turning to see what’s happening behind him.

One suspect passes by his table while pointing his gun at a couple at the counter.
The customer thinks about getting up from his chair, but the thief notices and points his ‘gun’ at the man.
As soon as his back is turned, the customer picks up his chair and starts to chase the gunman out of the shop.
The foiled robbery took place in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte at around 8:30 pm on Monday (18 November).
According to the police, the man chased both suspects out of the bakery, even hitting one of them with the chair.
They both managed to get away but were forced to flee separately and empty-handed thanks to the man’s intervention.
The customer told the police afterwards that he knew their guns were not real, as reported by Need To Know.
Officers set up an immediate search operation after the man and employees provided descriptions.
The two suspects currently remain on the run.
The investigation into the robbery attempt is ongoing.
