A huge fireball sent pedestrians running for their lives after a suspected gas leak sparked a blaze on a busy street.
Horror CCTV footage shows flames just yards from unsuspecting walkers.
Before anyone has time to react, the fireball grows so large that the whole of the frame turns white from the hot glow.

The fire can be seen burning several storeys high while people turn and run from the scene.
Eventually the blaze dies down and a plume of thick, black smoke can be seen rising into the air.
It happened yesterday (11 Dec), in Brooklyn, New York, US.
They described it as a “gas leak explosion.”
One local said: “The dude in white has his whole life flashing before his eyes.”
Another joked: “Most dramatic illumination of the Christmas lights I’ve ever seen.”
And a third speculated: “Somebody just lit a cigarette.”
The New York City Fire Department has been approached for comment, as reported by Need To Know.
