An ex-TV host has tragically passed away in mysterious circumstances as fans suspect she was battling an illness.
Verónica Cantú’s death has been confirmed by her family and friends.
The news has sent shockwaves through those who followed the 46-year-old.

At first, many believed her death to be a joke due to it falling on Holy Innocents Day, which is a Christian festival that takes place on 28 December.

Amid the speculation, it was later confirmed that Verónica, who is from Monterrey, in Mexico, had in fact passed away.
It is not known what caused the TV and radio host’s death, with her husband, Ricardo Alvarado, describing her as a “warrior” online.
He is also claimed to have stated that she faced suffering before her passing.
In an emotional post online, her brother, Ricardo Cantú, announced the news, as reported by Need To Know.

He said: “With a deep sorrow, and with all the pain in our hearts, we share the loss of our family’s most valuable asset.
“Daughter, sister and mother.”
The announcements have sparked a debate online, with people speculating that Verónica was most likely suffering from an illness.
She developed her career working on local channels including Teleritmo and La Màs Buena 105.3.

The presenter also worked at Channel 53, where she quickly stood out for her charisma and talents.
However, despite her success, she made the decision to retire a few years ago so that she could dedicate more time to her family.
Verónica leaves behind two daughters, aged 15 and seven.
Her funeral was held in the Carmen Chapels in Monterrey yesterday (29 December).
