A dead ringer for Diego Maradona sent social media into meltdown after being filmed in the middle of a packed gig.
One stunned punter spotted the stocky doppelganger with curly hair among the crowd and immediately started filming.
Unable to contain himself, he bellowed the line now ringing around the internet: “Diego isn’t dead!”

The lookalike, named Gustavo, took a few seconds to realise the camera was on him before breaking into a grin and waving.
The encounter happened at a cumbia music festival in Rosario, Santa Fe province, Argentina.
Gustavo comes from the La Matanza area.
The clip first appeared on TikTok and then exploded on X as fans declared that the late World Cup winner had somehow returned, as reported by Need To Know.
Gustavo already leans into the resemblance on Instagram where he has 13,100 followers.
He describes himself as “a simple person with a great resemblance to our Diego Armando Maradona”.
His profile picture is an AI-generated image of himself hugging the Argentine icon.
After the video went viral, he posted a thank-you: “I wanted to upload this video in gratitude to everyone for the support given in this last period.
“I had the privilege of resembling the greatest of all time and how nice that you continue to remember him in the best way.
“Thank you for making me happy.”
Maradona died on 25 November 2020 aged 60, yet lookalikes keep surfacing and briefly convincing fans the greatest of all time is still walking among them.
Gustavo has made no attempt to dodge the comparisons and says he is glad the resemblance keeps the legend’s memory alive.
He previously said: “Many compare me to Diego, something I can’t help but feel with emotion and immense respect.
“But beyond any comparison, the best part of this journey is the people I’m meeting and the affection I receive every day.”
