A well-known TikTok influencer has passed away after battling a rare form of cancer.
Irene Puig was diagnosed with the disease only eight months ago.
The 19-year-old had been documenting her journey with her 63,000 followers on the social media platform.
Alongside visits to the hospital and undergoing treatment, the influencer remained posting daily content, such as outfits of the day and vlogs.
But sadly, on 28 December 2024, her family revealed that she had passed away in a heartfelt statement, as reported by Need To Know.

The video, which has 5m views and over 285,000 likes, includes a slideshow of photos of Irene over the years with family and friends.
The caption read: “Yesterday 28th, Irene left surrounded by her family and the people she loved most in this world.
“Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to all of you who were part of [her] life, and who ensured that [her] years were not counted in quantity but in quality.

“Ire is gone, but I always carry the thousands of incredible anecdotes and love that has shown everyone had for [her].
“From today we will have in the sky a star that will always guide us.”
Irene, from Spain, had been diagnosed with an aggressive and rare cancerous tumour known as diffuse midline glioma.

According to The Brain Tumour Charity, the average life expectancy is less than one year – generally ranging from 8-11 months.
The tumour usually begins in the brain or spinal cord, before spreading across the central nervous system.
Her final video was posted on 23 December 2024, showing off her newly manicured nails.
In other videos, Irene explained that the tumour doesn’t stop growing and that she was allegedly the second person in the hospital to have it.
Despite being optimistic about her fight, she sadly admitted defeat when stating that doctors had no more treatment to give in a recent clip.
She said: “Until a few days ago I was given a final diagnosis.
“There are no more treatments, there is no cure, there is only time.
“It is very difficult to process.”
She then thanked her followers for making her feel “full of love” and, finally, she made an appeal: “Please, learn more about spinal cord gliomas.”

Users have flocked to the comments to share their condolences and goodbyes.

Dolly added: “Rest easy my dear.”
Nydia wrote: “She was gorgeous, RIP beautiful.”
Yvanna commented: “May her memory live on!”
