A tragic mum, dad and daughter were killed by hitmen while having lunch at a restaurant leaving the son orphaned.
Marlon Lora, his wife Yurlay Rincón and their two children Ángela and Santiago were repeatedly shot.
The bloodbath took place at around noon on Sunday (Dec 29).

Marlon, Yurlay and Ángela died at the scene while Santiago remains in critical condition in hospital, as reported by Need to Know.

According to Greisy Roqueme, the mayor of the municipality, Santiago has been pronounced brain dead.
The mayor’s office described the family as “pillars of the community.”
The triple murder happened in Aguachica, north of Bogota, Colombia.

The family had just left the Prince of Peace Church where Marlon and Yurlay were religious leaders.
The church is just a few blocks away from the restaurant in the Villa Paraguay neighbourhood.

The mayor’s office of Aguachica said: “This violent act, perpetrated at close range and during the day is a reflection of the lack of respect for life and human dignity.
“The Lora Rincon family was a pillar of the community and their loss leaves an irreparable void.”
A reward has been offered for information on those behind the massacre.
