A family have found their lost dog at a petrol station nine months after she disappeared.
Melody Patitas was at home a few months ago when she accidentally left the back door open.
That’s when the family’s beloved pet, Naia, snuck out.
It wasn’t until Melody’s husband got home that the family realised that the dog was missing.
Concerned, they began desperately searching for Naia, but there was no trace of her.
In a strange twist of fate, nine months later, the dog reappeared.
Naia was discovered on Saturday night (28 December) at around 9pm, reports Need To Know.

A worker at a petrol station spotted the dog outside, in Tamaulipas, Mexico, and quickly posted the news to Facebook in an effort to find its owner.

Luckily, Melody saw the post almost immediately and reached out to say she was on her way.
The family were overjoyed to be reunited with their pooch.
Melody said: “We don’t know exactly how, but Naia got to the gas station and the keeper recognised her.

“Thanks to this, Naia is back home.
“Thank you, my God, thank you, thank you, bless you because you heard our prayers.
“After nine months she is finally home.”
