An urban explorer has discovered 35 boxes of human cremains after visiting an abandoned funeral home.
Ben Stevens, who shares his discoveries with 171,000 social media followers, said he was stunned to find the containers spread across the floor.
Cremains are bone fragments and other remains of a deceased person after cremation.

The 31-year-old also discovered an embalming room and a section filled with caskets.

The entire building was filled with leftover chemicals, machinery, files, records, and even a bright yellow suit.
“On this trip, I found over 30 boxes of human cremains which is crazy,” Ben, from Cambridgeshire, told Need To Know.

“They were scattered across different rooms.
“It’s quite normal to find human remains in a funeral home.

“I visited another funeral home while on this trip and found 10 boxes.
“I’ve also seen a brain before in an abandoned funeral home in Paris.

“The fact that I visited here, on my own, made it very creepy, but also quite exciting.
“I loved the embalming room and the casket display room was really good.

“It’s definitely one of my favourite abandoned funeral homes.”
Ben discovered the building, located in Cobb County, Georgia, in the US, after watching a video on YouTube in May.

He spotted that the home had been damaged by a fire, with half of it completely collapsed and the other perfectly intact.
Ben said: “It all looked really different.”

But by sharing a post about the home on the platform Reddit, Ben learned something totally unexpected.
The building was actually due to be foreclosed as the owners of the place owed money.

And Ben’s post had triggered the Marietta Police to begin an investigation.
A Reddit user recognised the property and ended up reporting it to local police who are now looking for the owners.

The business has been closed since last spring, which is when the fire broke out.
Ben said: “As far as I know, the building was due to be foreclosed as the owners owed money, and there was fire.

“The cause of the fire is unknown and the owners just vanished, I think the police still haven’t been able to find them.
“I’ve never known such an after-effect of anywhere that I’ve visited before.”
