Churchman Caleb Umaru told local media: “A church member saw someone passing by the river close to the church.
“He was carrying a bag and his movement was suspicious.”

People shrieked in horror as a human head was pulled out of the nylon bag.
Police arrived at the scene in Karshi near Abuja, Nigeria, and arrested the 30-year-old singer.

During questioning, he claimed he’d argued with his girlfriend after finding out that she was said to be chatting to another man.
During the row, she allegedly cut his hand with a knife, prompting him to grab it and fatally stab her in the neck.

However, police believe Ajayi killed her at his house with knives and machetes, possibly for ritualistic purposes.
Salome worked at an insurance firm.
She’d reportedly been in a relationship with Ajayi for a year, as reported by Need To Know.

More than 50 butchered parts of her body were later found in the singer’s home, according to reports.
Her uncle Samson Adaji Adaidu told local media: “He was preparing the body for consumption.”

Adaidu is survived by her mother and a sister, who deny that she was in a relationship with Ajayi.
The suspect is described in reports as a gospel singer and crypto agent from Kabba, Kogi State.
He has been remanded into custody as the killing is investigated.
Local media say his songs often talk about redemption, peace, and Jesus Christ’s love.
