A dad and son were seriously injured when an influencer allegedly knocked them off their bike.
Valeria Carruyo, 21, is accused of turning into the motorcycle after losing control of her Toyota.
It’s believed the bike was stopped at a light in the opposite lane at the time.

Gleison Briceño, 51, was knocked off the rider’s seat and his eight-year-old son, on the back, was also thrown into the road.

Both were taken to the hospital, where the dad, a candy hawker and the family’s sole breadwinner, underwent surgery.
He reportedly risks losing a leg.
Carruyo, who boasts more than 10 million social media followers, was detained at the scene in Maracaibo, west of Caracas, Venezuela.

She was released hours later.
Reckless driving and poor road conditions have been suggested as possible alleged causes of the crash on Sunday (19 Jan).

Local media say Briceño has both legs in casts and needs two more costly ops to save him from losing one.
His son was reportedly left with a fractured femur.
He reportedly requires surgery and is in urgent need of blood donations for his low haemoglobin levels.
Carruyo’s spokesperson put out a statement on Monday (21 Jan), as reported by Need To Know.
It said: “Valeria is currently in Venezuela facing the legal proceedings related to the recent accident.

“She is not fleeing or avoiding her responsibility. From the very beginning, she has cooperated with the authorities.
“She remained at the scene of the accident, and is deeply committed to supporting the affected individuals, covering the necessary medical expenses.”
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
