The social media star – who runs the page ‘Race 100 200’ – lost control of a BMW.
His vehicle overturned on the Anotônio Machado Santana highway, in Ribeirão Preto, northwest of Sao Paulo, Brazil, causing it to be completely destroyed.

He was rushed to hospital where he immediately received amputation surgery on both of his feet.
As a result of the crash, he was left with an exposed fracture leaving it necessary for his right knee to also be disarticulated and amputated.
Two weeks on from the accident on 15 January, Matheus, who has 228,000 followers, remains in hospital and is still recovering.
“I only have one thing to say to you,” Matheus said.
“I have a purpose in life.
“I am alive here today because of a miracle.”
His page which shares content surrounding luxury cars and organises racing competitions in several cities also released a statement, as reported by Need To Know.
On 18 January, a spokesperson revealed what had happened to Matheus.
“We would like to inform everyone, especially those who are concerned about Matheus, that on January 15th he was involved in a car accident, resulting in some injuries,” they said.
“He underwent surgery, his health is stable and he is conscious and alive.

“He remains under medical care, accompanied by his family and awaiting medical advice from the hospital.
“We ask that you continue to pray, as he will soon return to doing what he has always loved.”
In the video shared by Matheus yesterday (29 Jan), he appears to be doing well and is making a recovery after his surgery.
