A man allegedly murdered his girlfriend after a “paranormal meter” told him she was planning to eat him.
Jane White, 46, was shot dead on January 3 on a Northumberland County street in Pennsylvania, Need To Know reports.
Jared Wolfe’s brother called 911 after Wolfe told him he had shot his girlfriend, according to an arrest affidavit and court testimony.

A judge ruled on February 5 that Wolfe will now be standing trial for seven charges, including first-degree murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm without a license.

The couple are reported to have smoked marijuana at a friend’s house on the day of the murder.
Wolfe, however, later told authorities that he was not sure what substance he consumed.
The affidavit states that Wolfe put the paranormal meter under a statue at the home and was disturbed by the high reading recorded.
Sunbury police officer Trey Kurtz wrote: “Jared Wolfe stated he thought that Jane White [and the friends] were all trying to kill him and eat him, so he panicked and ran out of the house to retrieve his handgun from his vehicle.”

White was declared dead from a gunshot wound at the scene by the coroner.
Wolfe later admitted to the killing.
Tributes have now been paid the mum-of-two who was an artist and a photographer.
One tribute read: “She was an amazing mother and person. Her life was taken from her with no reason at all.”
A second added: “I think about you every day Mom. I love you so so much.”
