The police said 48.5 lbs (22 kg) of cocaine was wrapped in aluminium in the girl’s backpack.
Oliva, the daughter of a well-known Argentine businessman, was arrested near the Martín Miguel de Güemes International Airport in Salta, northern Argentina.

The alleged package of cocaine was found during an inspection at an airport toll booth on the afternoon of 5 February.
It was reportedly hidden in the backpack of one of her daughters, who was also present during the inspection.
She is currently being investigated for her possible involvement in a drug trafficking network run by Cristian Gabriel Palavecino aka ‘El Gringo’.

Palavecino, who was known as ‘the most wanted fugitive in northern Argentina’, was arrested in October 2023.
His capture required a large operation involving over 100 police officers and 13 simultaneous raids, as reported by Need To Know.
The investigation into her alleged involvement in the ring is ongoing.
Oliva has taken part in numerous beauty pageants and was crowned Miss Orán.
She wanted to represent her province of Salta in the Miss Argentina competition with hopes of representing her country at Miss Universe, but failed to progress to the finals.
The mother-of-two also runs a business that sells luxury handbags and clothing online.
