Everything seemed normal until the plane touched down hard on the tarmac.
The aircraft appeared to briefly take to the air before the nose tilted forwards and the wheels bounced off the tarmac again.
The pilot then brought the aircraft under control.
The hard landing was filmed at Guadalajara International Airport in Mexico on 7 March.
Flight CX97 departed from Felipe Ángeles International Airport in Mexico City.
The Boeing 747-867F, registered as B-LJG, was checked by engineers shortly after arrival.
The aircraft did not sustain any significant damage and was allowed to continue to Anchorage in Alaska two hours later.
The video of the bumpy landing has gone viral on X with 520,000 views and hundreds of comments, as reported by Need To Know.
One local said: “That looked like one of my landings in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Good to know real 747 pilots do it too.”

Another added: “Looks ridiculously overweight, what could that enormous plane be carrying? Wow!”
“Very well built aircraft holding those forces and being able to continue flying some hours later,” remarked someone else.
Arnie asked: “I wonder how much force was put on the wheels and suspension?”

Jeff joked: “Other than the approach, flare and landing, it all looked smooth.”
