A man who won a £200,000 supercar owned by Shakira has crashed the vehicle – and the repairs are set to cost a fortune.
Michael Mejía won the purple 2022 Lamborghini Urus S, as well as a cheque for £70,000 to help cover the car’s taxes and expenses, in a competition on 6 December.
But the young visual artist, who has over 82,000 followers on Instagram, was involved in a road traffic accident at the weekend.

In a video of the incident, the driver’s side of the SUV can be seen severely dented.
Another image shows the car that collided with it, which appears to have been crushed at the front.
Michael is not believed to have been harmed by the crash but he is set to face a pricey bill to repair the supercar, which has already come with great financial challenges.
Michael says the car, which featured in Shakira’s music video for her song Soltera, costs him around £1,900 per month, as reported by Need To Know.
He told local press that this eye-watering figure didn’t even include the cost of fuel and maintenance.
Taxes, legal transfer fees and insurance costs have been a real burden for Michael.

And although he is extremely grateful that he won the competition, he has considered selling or auctioning the vehicle.
The car is worth a whopping £200,000 but its value could be much higher as Shakira designed it herself.

It has a 666hp V8 engine and can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in just 3.5 seconds, with a maximum speed of 305kph.
The accident occurred on a highway in the US and Michael, who is from Colombia, posted images tagged in Miami, Florida, just two weeks ago.
On 17 February, he shared a series of images standing by the Whenever, Wherever singer’s luxurious car.

He appeared in high spirits and expressed his gratitude to the Colombian singer in a post.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this stroller,” he wrote.
“You have changed my life. You can’t imagine how much.
“I’ve already driven it and it’s incredible.
“I haven’t stopped crying. I love you so much.”
