A teen fell nearly 50 feet to his death through a shopping centre skylight after writing a cryptic last message.
Simone D’Arrigo was hanging out with some friends when the horror unfolded on Saturday (8 Mar) evening.
For reasons unknown but possibly for fun, the 16-year-old allegedly began jumping on the skylight above the shopping centre car park.

The glass gave way under his weight and he fell about 15 metres before landing on a spiral staircase.
One of the group later recalled to local media: “There was a lot of blood, it was a horrible sight to see.”
The emergency services arrived at the scene in Belpasso, Sicily, Italy.

They gave Simone first aid before taking him to A&E in nearby Catania.
Sadly, he died from his injuries the next morning (9 Mar).
The police believe the fall was an accident, but they haven’t ruled out manslaughter from a push.
Detectives are also investigating the shopping centre managers for possible safety violations.
Simone was from nearby Motta Sant’Anastasia, as reported by Need To Know.

The town’s mayor, Antonio Bellia, stated: “A young life lost is news we never want to hear. A call we never want to receive.
“Our hearts are with the family.”
Local media say Simone left a cryptic last message on social media before his death.

It allegedly said: “I live life my way, after all, I’ll die like everyone else.”
Simone’s funeral was held in Catania on Tuesday (11 Mar). He is survived by his parents, siblings, and girlfriend.
