A foolish man burnt his fingers after trying to use a cigarette lighter to melt a lock while allegedly trying to pinch a bike.
He was seen fiddling with the chain as onlookers watched on.
The man tried to twist the lock but to no avail.
One witness said: “That is someone’s bike.
“Someone’s bike.”
The man insisted it was hit and muttered: “Nah mine.”
He then took out the lighter to try and burn the casing of the chain.
But he ended up singeing his fingers and jumped up in agony.
Another man then came up and shouted: “What the f*ck you doing man?”
The 49-second video filmed on a mobile phone by another onlooker then came to an end, as reported on Need To Know.

It happened on Station Street, Stratford, east London on Friday (21 Mar).
Rob Turnbull said: “Why not just leave a bait bike by smearing it with indelible paint?”

Another – named Andy – added: “Make it legal for the public to deal with these people.”
Aja said: “I actually have nightmares about my bike being stolen.
“It would honestly devastate me and I would not be able to replace it.
“I hate these people.”

Lewis Greening joked: “He needs a better lighter than that.”
The Met Police has been approached for comment.
