A white car driving ahead was almost swallowed up by the giant sinkhole.
But the driver managed to accelerate, which caused the car to catapult upward and back onto the road, stopping it from falling in.
The driver suffered minor injuries.
Unfortunately, it was too late for the motorcyclist to react.
The sinkhole opened up as he approached, and he drove straight into it.
It was captured on the dash cam of a vehicle travelling behind
According to the local press, the sinkhole was 20 metres in width and depth, as reported by Need To Know.
The impact from the collapsed road caused a water pipe to burst, and water sprayed everywhere.
It happened around 6.30 pm yesterday (24 Mar) on a road in the Gangdong District, Seoul, South Korea.
The local fire department rushed to the scene, but it was 17 hours before they confirmed they had found the man.
The exact cause of how the sinkhole formed is not known.
The victim was found 50 metres away from the centre of the sinkhole.
His body was in a tunnel under construction almost 20 metres from the surface.
