He also assaulted his official defender, Marta Ghiani, and the prosecutor, Rubén Negro.
According to local press, he shouted at them and said: “I’m going to find them outside.”
The judge, Juan Martín Brussino Kain, suspended the hearing immediately and ordered that Velozo be transferred.
The man had been arrested after being involved in riots at a church, as reported by Need To Know.
When he was arrested, Velozo fought with two police officers.
It has been alleged that he hit one of them with his fist, which caused him to sprain one of his fingers.
He was placed under arrest for “resistance to authorities and causing injury”.
It is thought that Velozo became angry during his hearing after he requested that the judge bring in a police officer who he claimed “hit” him.
Juan denied his request.
Velozo was initially arrested on 29 March, with the hearing taking place on 30 March.
Since this incident, the judge ruled that the hearing would be held again, however Velozo has refused to participate.
Despite his wish to not attend, the hearing took place and Juan ruled on preventive detention for a period of two months.
The hearing’s took place at the Cipolletti Courthouse, in Río Negro, Argentina.
