An angry man allegedly broke his neighbour’s leg with a hoe during a row in the street.
The villagers became embroiled in a heated argument over a faulty gutter that was leaking water into the other’s home.
While fighting in the street, Carlinhos Alves de Oliveira, 60, armed himself with a piece of wood.

But the other man, Dario Teodósio da Silva, 46, allegedly attacked him with the hoe.
The elderly man fell to the ground and Dario apparently hit him several times with the agricultural tool.
An onlooker pulled out a gun and Dario dropped the hoe and ran away.
Carlinhos tried to stand up, but his ankle doubled over, as reported on Need To Know.
He waited on the ground for an ambulance to arrive.
At the time of care, he was lucid and talking to other witnesses.

Carlinhos was taken to a nearby hospital with several injuries including a broken leg.
The violent row took place outside the victim’s home in Manaus in northern Brazil on Saturday (5 Apr).
When the police arrived on the scene, the suspect gave himself up voluntarily.

He was taken to the police station where he gave a statement and was charged with attempted murder.
The hoe he allegedly used to attack Carlinhos has been seized by the authorities.
The investigation is ongoing.
