The victim, 37, fell to the floor in a pool of blood and died on the spot.

The murder took place at the Boulevard Mall in Trujillo, north west of Lima, Peru.
The police used the shopping centre’s CCTV footage to identify the suspect.

The alleged gunman was arrested in the area of Alto Trujillo just a few hours after the crime, as reported by Need To Know.

He was found wearing the same clothes he wore at the time of the alleged attack.
The police identified the suspect as a 15-year-old boy with a known criminal record.
Investigators said the teen was observed walking around the shopping centre while apparently following the victim’s movements.

The police are investigating whether the teen knew Richard, who went by the alias ‘Borrego’, prior to the shooting.
The victim was found with a firearm on his person after the fatal shooting at around 8.30 pm last Friday (4 Apr).
The police said Richard had a criminal record for extortion, contract killing, and other charges.

He is also believed to be the cousin of ‘Jorobado Deivi’, a suspected leader of the Los Compadres criminal organisation.
Meanwhile, the teenager had previously been arrested for attempted robbery in February this year, according to the police.
He is being kept in a juvenile detention centre as the investigation continues.
