An airport cop has been busted for allegedly stealing cash and jewellery during a bag search.
Officer José Bohórquez Sarmiento, a member of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, was remanded in custody after a court reviewed two CCTV clips.
The footage apparently showed the drug enforcement cop pocketing cash and jewellery while searching two separate suitcases.

Sarmiento appeared to rummage through small bags inside the cases before allegedly dropping cash and jewellery items into a ridge on the searching table.
He then allegedly placed the objects in his pocket when he thought the coast was clear.
During his arrest, Sarmiento was also found to be wearing a high-end watch.
The timepiece hadn’t been declared before his shift and was well above his pay grade, according to prosecutors.
He is accused of pilfering suitcases at the El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, Colombia, as reported by Need To Know.
He was arrested eight days after the alleged thefts took place.

The footage was shown during a court hearing on Friday (11 Apr).
Based on the two clips and other evidence gathered by the Military and Police Criminal Service, court officials decided to remand him in custody.
He is being held at Facatativa Prison just outside the Colombian capital.
Investigators are also reviewing airport CCTV footage from the previous days to identify if any similar acts occurred.
The internal investigation continues.
